Tulsa Across the Generations Summit

Mayor Bartlett addresses summit as Nancy, Donna & Susan look on

Mayor Bartlett reads Susan's book to children
On October 10th Tulsa took a great leap forward in becoming a city that values and engages all generations. Under the leaderhip of Mayor Dewey Bartlett, Jr. and his wife, Victoria, our good colleagues at the Legacy Project, Susan Bosak and Brian Puppa, planned and executed a one day summit to address the challenges and opportunities of building an intergenerational city. I was honored to join Susan and Nancy Henkin of the Intergenerational Center to present the keynote addresses. I was impressed with the engagement of the people of Tulsa as well as the honest discussion about what they believe can be accomplished. So many seeds were planted, ideas sparked and commitments made that it will be terrific to watch the community develop. People understood it's not a fight, it's a family and just like a family, it will take hard work and tending but it's well worth it in the end. Go Tulsa! And thanks for the opportunity to join you!
